What is a display cabinet and which versions are there

A display cabinet is a cabinet with glass doors, ideal for showing off what you love. Our models range from classic to modern: classic cabinets with solid wooden sides and glass doors, modern versions with almost entirely glass on a metal frame, and industrial combinations of steel and wood with sliding doors. So there is a fitting style for every interior, from warm and country to sleek and tough.

Lighting: your collection in the spotlight

Many models have built-in LED lighting at the top or in the shelves, which puts your collection literally in the spotlight. Dimmable for a calm mood or brighter for full visibility. The power runs through a cable that you tuck neatly away behind the cabinet. Not every model has lighting, so always check the product specifications if this matters to you.

Layout and adjustable shelves

As standard, our display cabinets have 3 to 5 adjustable shelves, generally in steps of a few centimetres via adjustable shelf supports. That lets you adapt the spacing to the height of your items, from low plates to tall carafes. Some models combine a display top section with a closed lower section with drawers and doors, known as a buffet display cabinet. Ideal if you want to display crockery above and store cutlery or linen below.

Placement in your interior

A display cabinet usually stands against a wall in the dining or living room, often in a corner or as a focal point on an otherwise empty wall. Allow roughly 30 cm of height per shelf for plate stands and glassware. Combine the cabinet with our wall cabinets, sideboards or buffet cabinets from the same collection for a coherent whole.
