What is a wall cabinet and which material

A wall cabinet is a tall cabinet that offers plenty of storage right up to the wall and at the same time sets the tone of the room. The wood gives the cabinet its character: mango wood is light and clean-lined, suar wood has dramatic marbling, and reclaimed teak gives a lived-in, warm look. For a rugged, industrial look choose wood and steel combinations with sliding doors. Combine your wall cabinet with sideboards or TV units from the same collection for a coherent whole.

Layout: doors, drawers and open compartments

The strength of a wall cabinet lies in its clever layout. Our wall cabinets combine doors for tableware and things you want to hide, drawers for cutlery and smaller items, and open compartments for decoration or books. That way you tune the cabinet to your storage wishes, with a balance between what you show and what you keep out of sight. If you mainly want to display a collection, take a look at a display cabinet with glass doors, often with internal LED lighting for extra atmosphere.

Dimensions and depth

The standard depth of our wall cabinets is 40 to 50 cm, ample for tableware and larger items. For narrower spaces, models of 35 cm are available, so the cabinet also fits in a tighter room without taking up too much walking space. Measure the available wall and the walking routes around it carefully in advance, so the cabinet sits comfortably in place. With made-to-measure work you can have any depth between 30 and 60 cm.

Placement and stability

You place a wall cabinet against the wall, in the spot you want. Lower models up to around 160 cm stand stably on their own. Taller wall cabinets or models with deep drawers we fix to the wall for extra stability, which we particularly recommend if there are children in the house.
