in Indonesia, directly from a solid suar block, with the tabletop and legs flowing
seamlessly into one another via the iconic waterfall shape. No metal frames,

Suar wood: the most expressive wood in the world

Suar wood, also known as monkey pod or rain tree, is renowned for its
dramatic grain patterns, rich honey brown tone and exceptional
hardness. Each block tells its own story of decades of growth: undulating
grain, shifting colour nuances from light gold to dark brown, and
characteristic knots that give the table its unmistakable identity.

The waterfall shape: sculptural and functional

What sets this table apart is the waterfall construction: the tabletop
flows smoothly into the legs, as if the wood itself has determined the direction.
The organic arched shape between the legs, visible at both ends, is not
designed but freed from the wood. At 340 cm in length, this table creates a
presence that dominates any space, from a large kitchen diner to an open industrial loft.

Care & maintenance

Treat the tabletop 2-3 times a year with teak or suar oil
to keep the wood nourished and resilient. Avoid direct sunlight and
extreme dryness. Small cracks and movements of the wood are inherent to
solid wood and do not affect its sturdiness.
