Dining tables: the centrepiece of your dining room
A dining table sets the tone for your whole dining room. At Mokana you can choose between sleek mango wood dining tables, natural suar wood tree trunk tables and compact round models. As a rule of thumb for sizing, allow roughly 60 cm of seating space per person: for 6 people, count on at least 180 cm long and 90 cm wide, and choose 200 cm if you also want room for serving dishes in the middle. For a round table, a diameter of 140 cm is comfortable for 6 people. For made-to-measure work we supply dining tables in a wide range of lengths with various bases in steel or wood.
Tree trunk tables and organic tables
A tree trunk table has a top cut from a solid slab of wood, with a natural live edge. Suar wood, also known as raintree, has the most dramatic marbling, while mango is a little sleeker and oak the lightest in colour. Our organic tables have an irregular, natural shape with a unique wood pattern. Precisely because every top is different, it is worth seeing the grain and the live edge in person before you decide.
Coffee tables, side tables and console tables
The coffee table sets the tone for your whole seating area. Mokana stocks solid wood coffee tables in suar wood, mango and teak, marble versions and industrial models with steel bases. A side table is low (roughly 40 to 55 cm) and compact, intended to stand beside a chair or sofa. A console table is narrower (30 to 40 cm) and taller (75 to 90 cm), ideal as a table against the wall in a hallway or living room, with room for decoration.
Wood types and care
We stock solid mango, teak, suar wood, reclaimed teak, oak and tables with a metal base and a wooden top. Solid wood is a natural material that likes a stable indoor climate. Suar wood can be used over underfloor heating, provided the surface temperature stays below 27 degrees and the humidity is stable; a lacquered finish is advisable in that case. Our advisers are happy to explain the differences between the wood types so you can make a well-informed choice.

Every table in our collection is also available made to measure: different dimensions, shapes, wood type or base. Our advisers are happy to help you in the showroom. Mokana delivers with its own delivery service throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We deliver the table properly, place it where you want it and take the packaging away with us. Payment is possible in advance or on receipt.
