The Martani series is built around the circle, but this model stretches that language into an oval measuring 145 x 75 cm. You keep the organic, layered look of Martani while the fixture follows the full length of a long dining table or kitchen island. With five spots, this is the most generous step in the range.

Light that works both ways

The five spots are not all aimed the same way. Three point downwards for direct, usable light on your table or worktop. The other two face upwards and wash the ceiling in a soft glow, which makes the room feel wider and stops the lamp from hanging as a bright island in the dark. An external dimmer lets you set the level, from focused cooking to a long evening at the table.

Handmade in Uden

ZTAHL builds this fixture in Uden, the Netherlands, working together with social workshops. Metal slats form the basis of the design and give the lamp its sculptural character; the oval shape catches the light differently than the round models do. Available in the Quartz 2 and Platinum finishes. At 20 kg it needs a solid ceiling fixing, and the supplied ceiling plate measures 60 x 30 cm.
