Rectangular coffee tables come as standard in 100 to 140 cm long and 50 to 80 cm wide. For wide sofas choose 130 to 140 cm, for compact sofas 100 cm. A good rule of thumb: take a table that covers roughly 60 per cent of the sofa width. For a 2-seater sofa (around 180 cm) that is 100 to 110 cm, for a 3-seater sofa (around 210 cm) 120 to 130 cm and for XL sofas 140 cm or more. The height lies between 35 and 45 cm.
