Oval Dining Tables
An oval dining table combines the best of two shapes: the soft curves of a round table with the maximum seating room along the sides of a rectangular one. Perfect for anyone who likes to host a crowd without sharp corners getting in the way. Mokana Meubelen in Enschede carries a wide range of oval dining tables in a variety of materials and sizes, including made to measure.

Why an oval dining table?
Thanks to the rounded ends, an oval table seats more people than a round or square one of the same length. The soft curves deliver two extra places at the ends compared with a rectangular table of equal length. You also walk around it easily and there are no sharp corners, which is welcome in a busy living room.
Sizing advice
Choose the length to suit the number of guests. A table of 210 cm comfortably seats seven to eight people: three along each long side plus one at each end. If you want to seat eight to ten people, you end up around 280 cm. An oval table also works well in a narrow room, because the shape follows the room and still offers plenty of seating room along the sides. Made to measure is possible in any dimensions up to 10 metres.
Material and finish
Our oval dining tables come in solid mango, suar wood, teak and oak. The Danish oval models, also called boat shape, have flattened ends that are iconic in Scandinavian design. If you are after an organic version, take a look at our live-edge dining tables as well.
The right base
For an oval table a central column or two cross beams is practical, because that keeps legs out of the seating positions and gives everyone room. U-legs at the ends work well too. Choose from bases in U-leg, X-leg, cross leg, spider base or wooden legs, in steel or wood, to suit your interior.
Combining with chairs and benches
An oval dining table gives you flexibility. Put separate dining chairs on both sides, or place a dining bench on the wall side with chairs on the other. That makes the most of the space and gives the dining area a character of its own.
