Vases, bowls and smaller accessories

Our vases come in every size, from compact table vases to floor vases as tall as a person: stoneware for wabi-sabi, ceramic for a modern look, glass for light and air and bronze for an industrial feel. A decorative bowl on a sideboard or coffee table works as an anchor point. Combine it with candle holders at different heights for visual rhythm, and fill empty corners with sculptures or small objects in metal, wood or ceramic.

Mirrors and trays

Mirrors in round, oval or rectangular shapes, with an antiqued cast, slim metal or wooden frame, make a small room look visually bigger and bring in extra light. A tray in weathered teak, suar wood or rattan forms the basis for styling on a coffee table or sideboard: a tray with two or three statement items looks calm and polished.

Style: from wabi-sabi to hotel chic

Our decor suits every interior style. For wabi-sabi, choose stoneware vases with dried branches, ceramic bowls, old bronze candle holders, jute baskets and weathered teak trays in earthy tones with imperfect textures. For hotel chic, work with polished marble, mirrors, glass vases, gold or silver candle holders and glossy finishes. For industrial, choose metal candle holders, leather baskets and objects in concrete and steel in dark tones.

How to combine home decor

Work in odd-numbered groups of three or five objects and vary the height and size. A large vase with greenery, a candle holder and a small bowl together form a visually balanced whole. Keep a common thread in colour or material, ideally stick to one colour family and a maximum of three materials per grouping, and leave at least sixty per cent of the surface free to avoid a cluttered look. Neutral colours such as black, white, beige, clay brown and brushed metal work anywhere, with perhaps a single brightly coloured vase as an accent.
