What is a cube cabinet and what do you use it for?

A cube cabinet consists of open compartments, usually in a grid, with no doors in front. That makes it perfect for anyone who likes to show what is in the cabinet. You can use it as a bookcase, as a display cabinet for vases and accessories, or as practical storage. If you do not want everything on show, put loose baskets in a few of the compartments: that way you combine display and storage in one and the same piece. A cube cabinet works just as well in the living room as in the dining room or the office.

Cube cabinet as a room divider

A particularly handy application is the cube cabinet as a room divider. Models that are open on both sides are accessible from either side and therefore work perfectly as a partition between, for example, the living and dining room. Which size and depth do you choose?

Our cube cabinets are 30 to 40 cm deep as standard, ample for books and baskets. If you use the cabinet mainly for decoration and light accessories, a depth of around 25 cm is enough. In terms of width you can choose compact models of around 90 cm and generous XL versions of 135 to 160 cm. Think in advance about what you want to put in it and how many compartments you need, and you will easily find the right size.

Mango, suar wood or industrial?

The material strongly determines the mood of your cube cabinet. Mango is light and sleek and sits beautifully in a modern or natural interior. Suar wood has a dramatic marbling and wide grain, which makes the cabinet a real eye-catcher. For a rugged, industrial look choose a combination of wood and steel. Cube cabinet versus bookcase

The terms cube cabinet and bookcase are often used interchangeably, but there is a difference. A cube cabinet usually has equal, fixed compartments in a grid, while a bookcase more often has adjustable shelves at various heights.
