Wall art
We carry more than five hundred textile artworks from Urban Cotton, printed on recycled cotton rather than paper or canvas. You choose the image, the size and the frame.
Why textile rather than a print
A paper print behind glass reflects light and flattens the image. These are printed directly onto a heavy recycled-cotton weave, so the surface has texture and absorbs light instead of bouncing it back. From an angle it still reads as an image, which is exactly what a poster fails at.
They also hang from a wooden rod rather than a frame, so they weigh little and need only a single hook.
Choosing size and frame
Three sizes, and a choice between a wooden hanging rod, a black frame or no frame at all. As a rule, art above a sofa should be about two thirds the width of the sofa, hung so the centre sits at eye level, roughly 145 centimetres from the floor.
You can put your combination together on the site; the configurator shows the result before you order.
Frequently asked
- Is the cotton really recycled?
- Yes, Urban Cotton prints on a weave made from recycled cotton and PET. The maker publishes the composition per collection and we can pass that on for a specific piece.
Our product pages are in Dutch. Photographs, dimensions and prices are straightforward to read, and we answer questions in English by WhatsApp or email.
