Combining compartments with a door
The Dallas Naturel bookcase by Starfurn has one door and two compartments. This mango wood model measures 55 cm wide, 45 cm deep and 200 cm high. Those dimensions give you a useful starting point for a narrow space beside another piece of furniture. Check the internal measurements separately: the outer width does not tell you whether your books or storage boxes will fit inside a compartment.
Measure the space and the route
Mark the width and depth on the floor with masking tape. Check the distance from your sofa or desk and allow room for the door to open. Include skirting boards, sockets and the route through your home in your measurements. For more options combining open and closed storage, compare our living room cabinets.
Mango wood and finish
Mango wood varies in grain and colour from one piece to another. Compare the chosen finish with your flooring and existing furniture. A colour name and a wood species describe different things. The Dallas collection includes coordinating furniture, each piece with its own wood grain. Follow the instructions for your chosen model when caring for or securing it. If compartment dimensions or weight limits are missing, ask us before ordering. We can help you compare the details.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell whether my books will fit?
Measure the height and depth of your largest books and compare them with the internal compartment dimensions. Check the permitted load per shelf too. Ask us for any missing measurements before ordering.
Does a bookcase need to be secured to the wall?
Follow the manufacturer's assembly and fixing instructions. The appropriate fixing depends on the model and your wall. The height of the bookcase alone does not determine what is needed.
Will two mango wood bookcases have exactly the same colour?
Grain and colour can vary between pieces. Choose the same version and finish when coordinating furniture, while allowing for natural differences in the wood.
