Types of corner sofa: from L-shape to U-shape and modular

An L-shaped corner sofa is classic and flexible and sits neatly against two walls. A U-shaped sofa wraps around your living room with seating on three sides and is ideal for large families. A sofa with a chaise longue is a straight sofa with an extension for lounging: that extended section is roughly 80 to 90 cm wide and 160 cm long, perfect for lying down. Modular corner sofas are put together from separate units and can be rearranged later, handy if you are planning to move or expect more space.

Material: leather, fabric, velvet, corduroy or bouclé

Leather corner sofas are timeless, develop a beautiful patina and last a long time. Fabric corner sofas are warm and soft with an endless choice of colours. Corduroy has an on-trend, velvety texture that hides wear extremely well. Velvet is luxurious and atmospheric, and bouclé, with its curled wool texture, is cosy and exclusive. For practical daily use with children or pets, leather and corduroy are the easiest, because they resist scratches and are simple to clean. Velvet and bouclé are beautiful but a little more delicate; request a fabric swatch to test at home.

Choosing a size: which corner sofa fits my living room?

An L-shaped corner sofa needs at least 230 cm along the long side plus 170 cm along the short side. A U-shaped sofa calls for 280 cm or more per side. Keep at least 80 cm of circulation space all around for comfortable movement. Made to measure and configurable

At Mokana virtually every corner sofa is configurable: fabric, colour, the side the chaise longue sits on, the height of the backrest and the dimensions. On most models you are free to choose left or right, seen from a seated position, and on some an ottoman without a backrest is also an option; let us know your preference when you order. Request a fabric swatch with no obligation to assess at home. Configurable models generally have a delivery time of eight to twelve weeks, while stock models are often quicker.

Delivery, assembly and why buy at Mokana

Own delivery throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Corner sofas are usually supplied in sections and we assemble them on site, place them where you want them and take the packaging away. We always confirm the delivery date clearly when you order. Payment in advance or on receipt, and paying in instalments is among the options.
