What sets a lounge chair apart

The difference lies in the more generous dimensions. A lounge chair has a wider seat and a deeper seat than a standard armchair, and often a slightly lower back, so you sink into it in a relaxed way instead of sitting upright. Some models come with a separate footstool, so you can stretch right out. If you want to look in every direction easily from your chair, a swivel version is a lovely choice: you turn effortlessly towards the conversation, the window or the screen.
