Living collection Ztahl Stelvio
The Stelvio by ZTAHL is a pendant light you immediately picture above a long dining table. A frame of steel tubes, with the spots spread across the full length, so the light does not come from one point but falls across the whole table. ZTAHL makes these fittings by hand in Uden and finishes them with powder coating. At Mokana you choose from two sizes in this series, both available in Black or Platinum.
Which model suits your table
The difference between the two models is length and number of light points. The Stelvio at 140 cm has eight tubes and ten light points and works well above a dining table of roughly 180 to 220 cm. That leaves table surface visible on both sides of the fitting, which looks calmer than a light running right to the edge. The 190 cm version has ten tubes and fourteen light points and is meant for the longer table, from around 240 cm. If you are torn between the two for a table of about 220 cm, let the room decide. In a tall, open living space the long version earns its place, while a more compact dining corner is happier with the 140 cm. Measure the free height above your table too, because this is a fitting you hang low so you do not look straight into the spots.
Finishes and light sources
Both models come in Black with structure to RAL 9005 and in Platinum. The black is matt with a lightly grainy texture, which keeps the fitting quiet and stops it from reflecting. Platinum is greyer and softer in tone and suits interiors with plenty of wood, linen and warm shades. Both models use GU10 spots, ten on the 140 cm and fourteen on the 190 cm. The fittings are supplied without light sources. On the product page you choose whether to add the pack of Philips LED GU10 light sources, or to use spots you already own or pick yourself.
Viewing, ordering and delivery
A light of this size is best judged in person. In our showroom at Hogelandsingel 49 in Enschede you can see how the finishes behave in daylight and how the spots throw their light. Delivery takes 6 to 8 weeks, as every fitting is made to order. We deliver with our own delivery service in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Payment in instalments is possible.
