About the Just Design brand

Just Design combines modern design with a comfortable, ergonomic seat. Where many brands offer a chair in two or three versions, Just Design works with a matrix: for each model you choose the version (fixed or on castors, or the element in the case of a sofa) and within that the upholstery group. As a result, nearly every chair comes in dozens of variants, from an affordable stock fabric to natural leather.

Production is Dutch and made to order. That means a production lead time, but also that you are not tied to the colour that happens to be in stock.

Fabrics and leather types

Just Design works with six upholstery groups. The price of your chair or sofa depends on the group you choose, not on the colour within it.

• Basic fabric: Aragon and Puente, with an abrasion resistance of 45,000 to well over 100,000 Martindale rubs
• Awesome fabric: Cremona, Lodge, Oasis and Rhythm, all four 100 per cent polyester and lightfastness 5
• Exclusive fabric: the top fabric category
• Micro leather: Bull, a soft microfibre with a leather look
• Protected leather: Taurus, with a protective layer that resists stains
• Natural leather: Safari, Havanna, Dakota and Congo, of which Congo has a protective finishing layer

Fabric and leather can also be ordered separately by the metre, for example to have an existing piece reupholstered. Ask us for a quotation.

Legs, castors and finish

The metal legs are available in stainless steel, black, anodic brown, taupe, maronne and old steel, the latter only on a square leg. A leg in a RAL colour is possible on most models at an additional charge. The wooden legs come in clear lacquered, white, black, dark walnut, medium oak, deep grey, warm grey, old grey, wenge and whitewash.

On various models you can choose between fixed, parquet castors (soft, for parquet, laminate and tiles) and skate castors (hard, for carpet). There are also felt pads, matching or contrasting stitching and an adjusted leg height.

Just Design suits those who value comfort and a clean, timeless look. The models feel at home in a modern or industrial interior, but thanks to the warm fabric and wood options they fit just as well in a rural or Scandinavian-inspired dining area. At Mokana you can configure your Just Design chair or sofa at your leisure in our showroom in Enschede at Hogelandsingel 49. You can see and feel the upholstery side by side and place the leg options next to your own floor. We deliver with our own delivery service in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, including the German border region around Enschede.

What does Just Design make?

Just Design is a Dutch seating manufacturer from Someren with well over a hundred dining chairs, ten bar stools, four dining benches and twelve sofa ranges. Nearly everything is made to order in the upholstery and leg option you choose.

Can I choose the fabric and colour of a Just Design chair myself?

Yes. You first choose an upholstery group: Basic fabric (Aragon and Puente), Awesome fabric (Cremona, Lodge, Oasis and Rhythm), Exclusive fabric, Bull micro leather, Taurus protected leather or natural leather (Safari, Havanna, Dakota or Congo). Within that group you choose the colour together with us, using a free sample or in our showroom in Enschede.

What does a Just Design dining chair cost at Mokana?

The dining chairs on our site start at 310 euro for Stan in a stock colour and go up to well over 650 euro for a model in natural leather. On every product page you see the price for your own configuration update straight away.

Can I have a Just Design chair on castors?

On a number of models, yes, such as Mick, Olly, Oscar and Elles. You choose between fixed, parquet castors for a hard floor and skate castors for carpet. The version with castors has its own price, which you see on the product page.

Which leg colours does Just Design offer?

How long does delivery of a Just Design piece take?

Because nearly everything is made to order in your configuration, a production lead time applies. The current delivery time is shown on every product page and starts once the upholstery is final. Only the stock colours of Stan are available more quickly.

Can I order loose fabric or leather from Just Design?

Yes, the collection can also be ordered by the metre: Basic fabric, Awesome fabric, Exclusive fabric, micro leather, protected leather and natural leather each have their own price per metre. Ask us for a quotation for your project.
