Description
Wall cabinet Aimari Bangau, a masterpiece in solid teak wood
The Aimari Bangau wall cabinet is no ordinary cabinet, it is a sculpture in which you can store your belongings. Two doors, both filled with a life-sized hand-carved scene of a crane in full relief. The wings, the legs in the reeds, the soft curves of the arch at the top, everything is carved by hand from solid teak wood by Indonesian woodcarvers. No two pieces are identical.
Bangau means crane in Indonesian, an animal that in Asian culture symbolises wisdom, good fortune and a long life. The cabinet brings that calm and symbolism into your living room, hall or bedroom.
Solid teak wood with character
This wall cabinet is made from recycled solid teak wood, a wood type known for its density, durability and warm appearance. Thanks to the use of old wood, you can see the history in every panel, small cracks, grain variations and colour differences that make the piece unique. The finish has deliberately been kept rough and natural, in line with the wabi-sabi and Japandi style that Mokana holds in high regard.
Dimensions and use
With a height of 220 cm, a width of 120 cm and a depth of 52 cm, the Aimari Bangau is a substantial piece that requires space and deserves it. Place it as an eye-catcher in a spacious hall, as a wardrobe in a rural bedroom, or as a storage cabinet in a living room with high ceilings. The two doors open wide, and behind the carving there is full-fledged storage space.

Frequently asked questions
Do you carry the furniture into the room?
Yes, where that is possible. With enough space, a wide enough passage and a lift if there is one, our own drivers put the piece down exactly where you want it. If that cannot be done, we deliver to the front door. Not sure it will fit through your hallway or stairwell? Tell us before the delivery date and we will look at it with you.
Is this piece assembled for me?
What you order in the webshop is delivered but not assembled. Buy the same piece in our store in Enschede and our drivers do place and assemble it on site, and take the packaging away with them.
What does delivery cost?
Within 35 kilometres of Enschede we deliver free of charge. Beyond that, anywhere in the Netherlands you pay 50 euro per order rather than per item, so a sofa and a dining table together cost the same as one of them. Belgium is 100 euro. From 1,000 euro we deliver free within the Netherlands; solid tree trunk tables are excluded from both arrangements because they are too heavy. For Starfurn, Livingfurn and Brix delivery is already free from 250 euro, and for Richmond Interiors from 150 euro.
When will my order be delivered?
The delivery time for this piece is shown with the product on this page. Once it is in, we get in touch to agree a delivery slot together, based on where you live and our delivery route. You are not simply assigned a day you had no say in.
Can I collect the order myself?
Yes. You can collect your order at our store at Hogelandsingel 49 in Enschede. We contact you first, as soon as it is ready for you.
