Boat cabinet from a real old boat: a unique statement piece
Imagine: a piece of furniture that once glided through the water, braved the waves and carries stories in every trace of paint. Our boat cabinet made from a real old Indonesian boat is exactly that: no reproduction, no imitation, but an authentic piece of furniture with a soul of its own.
Each example is handcrafted in Indonesia, where artisans transform real, discarded wooden boats into a functional wall cabinet. The distinctive bow shape, the layered traces of paint in red, green, blue and ochre, and the weathered wood tell the story of decades on the water. No two pieces are the same: so you are buying a completely unique, one of a kind piece of furniture.
Versatile and decorative
The boat cabinet is available in two versions:
- Wine cabinet version: with a built-in wine rack for 9 bottles, an open top compartment and two small doors at the bottom
- Bookcase version: with several open shelves for books and decoration, plus a closed lower section
Both versions, thanks to the tall, slender boat shape (225 cm high), are a real eye-catcher that makes beautiful use of vertical space. The cabinet fits excellently in an industrial, bohemian, eclectic or natural interior.
Sustainable and artisanal
Through the use of recycled boat wood: mainly old teak and driftwood, this piece of furniture is not only exceptionally beautiful, but also a sustainable choice. The wood has already proven that it lasts for decades, and brings that strength and character straight into your living room.

Frequently asked questions
Do you carry the furniture into the room?
Yes, where that is possible. With enough space, a wide enough passage and a lift if there is one, our own drivers put the piece down exactly where you want it. If that cannot be done, we deliver to the front door. Not sure it will fit through your hallway or stairwell? Tell us before the delivery date and we will look at it with you.
Is this piece assembled for me?
What you order in the webshop is delivered but not assembled. Buy the same piece in our store in Enschede and our drivers do place and assemble it on site, and take the packaging away with them.
What does delivery cost?
Within 35 kilometres of Enschede we deliver free of charge. Beyond that, anywhere in the Netherlands you pay 50 euro per order rather than per item, so a sofa and a dining table together cost the same as one of them. Belgium is 100 euro. From 1,000 euro we deliver free within the Netherlands; solid tree trunk tables are excluded from both arrangements because they are too heavy. For Starfurn, Livingfurn and Brix delivery is already free from 250 euro, and for Richmond Interiors from 150 euro.
When will my order be delivered?
The delivery time for this piece is shown with the product on this page. Once it is in, we get in touch to agree a delivery slot together, based on where you live and our delivery route. You are not simply assigned a day you had no say in.
Can I collect the order myself?
Yes. You can collect your order at our store at Hogelandsingel 49 in Enschede. We contact you first, as soon as it is ready for you.
