He draws the attention of every passer-by, towers proudly above the Mokana Furniture premises and leaves no one unmoved: the impressive wooden lion standing a remarkable 3.7 metres tall. With a depth and width of almost 2 metres, this is no ordinary sculpture: this is a true statement piece.
A powerful symbol, expertly handcrafted
This imposing lion is handcrafted from authentic teak wood and originates from Indonesia. Every detail of his mane, claws and muscular body has been carved with care and craftsmanship, making him not only powerful but also refined. The warm, natural appearance of the wood gives the sculpture character and makes him an eye-catcher of considerable stature.
A work of art with presence and a story
The wooden lion symbolises strength, protection and pride. At Mokana, the Lion serves as the landmark for visitors and passers-by on the Hogelandsingel. But now it is time for a new chapter. Frequently asked questions
Do you carry the furniture into the room?
Yes, where that is possible. With enough space, a wide enough passage and a lift if there is one, our own drivers put the piece down exactly where you want it. If that cannot be done, we deliver to the front door. Not sure it will fit through your hallway or stairwell? Tell us before the delivery date and we will look at it with you.
Is this piece assembled for me?
What you order in the webshop is delivered but not assembled. Buy the same piece in our store in Enschede and our drivers do place and assemble it on site, and take the packaging away with them.
What does delivery cost?
Within 35 kilometres of Enschede we deliver free of charge. Beyond that, anywhere in the Netherlands you pay 50 euro per order rather than per item, so a sofa and a dining table together cost the same as one of them. Belgium is 100 euro. From 1,000 euro we deliver free within the Netherlands; solid tree trunk tables are excluded from both arrangements because they are too heavy. For Starfurn, Livingfurn and Brix delivery is already free from 250 euro, and for Richmond Interiors from 150 euro.
When will my order be delivered?
The delivery time for this piece is shown with the product on this page. Once it is in, we get in touch to agree a delivery slot together, based on where you live and our delivery route. You are not simply assigned a day you had no say in.
Can I collect the order myself?
Yes. You can collect your order at our store at Hogelandsingel 49 in Enschede. We contact you first, as soon as it is ready for you.
