Description
The portrait first catches the light on the richly draped headscarf. The paint has been hand finished, creating a subtle relief on the canvas: the depth only really shows when daylight sweeps across it at an angle. The warm orange and pink tones give the woman in the painting a strong, confident presence, reinforced by the rich folds of the headscarf and the striking jewellery.
Beauty met hoofddoek is made using the giclée technique, after which every piece is finished by hand. This means small differences in colour and shape can occur: each painting by Hiskiart is therefore slightly different from the next. The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame and comes complete with hanging hooks, ready to take its place on the wall.
