Description
A square format of 80 by 80 centimetres gives this painting enough presence above a sofa or sideboard, while it also works on a bare wall without overpowering the space. The depth of 3.5 centimetres adds a solid, three dimensional feel on the wall.
The scene itself shows a bulldog in sunglasses reading the newspaper, surrounded by colourful graffiti. The smart clothing and self assured pose give this dog portrait its own sense of humour, without being over the top. Canvas on a wooden frame forms the base, finished in acrylic paint using the giclée technique. This piece is hand finished, so small variations in colour and shape may occur. That makes each piece a little more personal.
