Description
At 102.5 by 102.5 centimetres, this square painting claims a fair share of wall space, enough to hold its own above a sofa or sideboard without overpowering the room. The 5 centimetre depth gives the panel body, so it also works well hung on its own on an open wall.
A chimpanzee wearing dark round sunglasses looks sideways amid colourful graffiti. Yellow, blue and red create an energetic background, while the black tray frame with a silver coloured front gives the piece a crisp edge. The work is made of canvas on a wooden frame, finished with acrylic paint. The giclée technique is hand finished, so slight variations in colour or form can occur from piece to piece.
