Description
At 80 by 120 centimetres, Chocolate Expressions is large enough to hold its own above a sofa or sideboard, yet restrained enough not to dominate an open wall. The 3.5 centimetre depth gives the canvas body, so it reads as a proper object on the wall even without an additional frame. Round brown shapes sit loosely between cream and beige fields of colour, in warm chocolate tones that give the room a soft, homely feel.
The piece was made using the giclée technique and then finished by hand, creating structure and depth you will not find in an ordinary print. The metallic foil finish catches the light and lets the shapes shift subtly throughout the day. Because of the handmade finish, small variations in colour and form can occur, making each Hiskiart piece slightly its own.
