Description
120 by 150 centimetres: that is the scale this two-part piece brings to a wall. That size works well above a sofa or sideboard, where it can fill the width of the piece beneath it, but also on an open wall, where it carries the space on its own. The two panels show broad, black and gold-toned circular movements that run across both parts, creating a graphic rhythm that sets the wall in motion.
Each panel is hand-painted on canvas with a wooden frame beneath. The acrylic paint is finished with metal foil and a craquelure texture, giving the circles depth and a slightly weathered sheen. Because everything is finished by hand, one circle may run slightly differently from the next. That is part of this piece by Hiskiart and makes every one a little its own.
