Description
The relief catches the eye straight away: the box frame with its black side and silver coloured front gives Flying Balloon Girl depth on the wall. The picture plane is kept light, letting the black figure and red balloons stand out clearly. A girl appears to float upwards with the balloons, an image further refined by hand using the giclée technique.
Each piece is printed on canvas and then worked over with acrylic paint. This creates slight variations in colour and shape between pieces, giving the artwork a personal character. The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame and supplied with hanging hooks, so the painting is ready to hang straight away.
