Description
With a width of 122.5 cm and a height of 82.5 cm, Highlands fills an empty wall nicely, and also works well above a sofa or sideboard of average length. The depth of 4.5 cm gives the painting enough presence to stand out from the wall, without protruding too far.
The canvas shows a Scottish highland cow with broad horns and a shaggy fringe, set against a light landscape. Warm brown tones connect the animal to the natural background behind it. The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame and finished by hand with acrylic paint using the giclée technique, which gives the colours depth. Because of this handmade finish, small differences in colour and shape can occur, making each piece slightly its own.
