Description
Canvas on a wooden frame, finished by hand with acrylic paint after the giclée printing process. That final step gives the Highland cattle portrait real texture: the brushwork in the coat and the flower wreath between the horns feel less flat than a standard print. The frame is finished in warm white, sitting quietly alongside the soft, light background of the piece.
The abundant flower wreath and the warm coat tones of the Highland cow pair well with natural materials such as wood, linen and wool. Because each piece is finished by hand, small differences in colour and form can occur. That is part of the craft and makes every painting a little more individual.
