Description
The crackled surface catches the light in fine, irregular lines, so the painting looks different depending on the time of day. A dark layer sits at the base, with a light grey, airy plane above it. A narrow, gold-toned line connects both zones and draws the eye across the canvas, like a horizon that never quite settles. The metallic foil highlights that line with a soft sheen that shows up whenever daylight falls across it at an angle.
Horizon Vierkant is hand painted on canvas, stretched over a wooden frame. That handmade finish means no two pieces are exactly alike: small variations in colour and shape are part of the work. The square format works as a stand alone focal point above a sofa or sideboard, without needing a second piece alongside it.
