Description
In raking light, the relief of Jonge tijger really comes forward. The acrylic paint has been hand finished on top of a giclée print, giving the tiger's dark stripes and soft coat tones a touch more depth than a flat print would. He looks straight at you against a layered, light background, framed by a gold coloured box frame that adds warmth to the whole piece.
The portrait format makes this painting suitable as part of a collection of natural animal portraits, though it also stands well on its own above a cabinet or sideboard. Canvas on a wooden frame provides sturdiness, and because each piece is hand finished, small differences in colour and shape can occur: no two pieces from Hiskiart are exactly alike.
