Description
A cat wearing glasses balances on top of a tall stack of colourful books. The narrow, tall canvas stretches out that wobbly moment: the higher your eye travels, the more headstrong the cat's pose appears. The acrylic paint layer has been finished by hand, so side light reveals texture and relief across the surface.
The format suits a narrow strip of wall, for instance beside a bookcase or above a reading chair. Painting Kat op de boekenstapel is printed in giclée on canvas, stretched over a wooden frame, then finished by hand. Because of that manual finishing, each piece can vary slightly in colour or shape.
