Description
A soft tuft of hair, a cheeky look: the young llama in Kleine Eigenwijs gains relief as textile elements and faux fur are applied across the surface. When daylight catches it, the texture of the fur really comes through, quite different from a flat printed image. The warm white photo frame keeps the overall look calm and lets the image itself do the work.
The base is a giclée, finished by hand, so each piece carries small individual differences in colour and shape. That is part of the handmade finish and makes the artwork a touch more personal than a standard print. It is built on a sturdy backing board, so it hangs flat and taut against the wall.
