Description
Canvas on a wooden frame forms the base of this portrait, built up with acrylic paint in warm brown and gold tones. The lion looks straight into the room, with a direct gaze that gives the painting its character. Bold blocks of colour and a light background create contrast without making the piece feel busy.
The box frame is the detail that finishes the portrait: a black side with a gold coloured front that ties in nicely with the lion's mane. The giclée technique has been hand finished, so small differences in colour and shape can occur. No two pieces are therefore entirely alike.
