Description
From the wall, a familiar face looks back, only different: Mona Lisa gets a colourful streetart treatment here, with graffiti, drips and striking accessories giving the portrait a bold twist. The box frame gives this large, upright piece a clear outline, black on the sides and silver coloured at the front, making the painting appear to float on the wall.
Lisa in kleur is built up from canvas on a wooden frame and finished with acrylic paint. The giclée technique is hand finished, so each piece carries small, individual differences in colour and shape. It is this handwork that gives the portrait relief and depth as the light passes over it.
