Description
A square of 82.5 by 82.5 centimetres is just the right size to stand out above a sofa or sideboard, without overwhelming the wall. The depth of 4.5 centimetres gives the painting body, so it reads as a real object on the wall rather than a flat surface.
A French bulldog appears amid bold paint splashes on a dark background. The strong colour contrast gives the dog portrait a distinct pop art character, a statement piece for a living room, hallway or workspace. The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame and finished by hand with acrylic paint and the giclée technique, giving each piece its own character. Small variations in colour and shape are part of that process.
