Description
Broad, loose blocks of colour in brown, grey and soft blue tones come together to form an elephant's head. The large ears fill almost the entire square canvas, so the animal catches the eye at once without every detail being worked out. Thanks to the metallic foil in the finish, the painting catches the light differently throughout the day, giving the colour blocks a touch of depth.
Schilderij Olifant in kleurvlakken is hand painted on canvas, stretched on a wooden frame. It is precisely this handmade finish that means every piece carries its own small differences in colour and shape.
