Description
Sixty by sixty centimetres is a size that gives a wall room to breathe without taking it over. Above a sideboard, this square lets the surface settle, on an open wall it works as a quiet focal point. The depth of 3.7 centimetres gives it a solid, sculptural presence that lifts away from the surface.
On the canvas, a black and white calf lies relaxed on a pink armchair. This homely scene gives the cow portrait from Hiskiart a humorous twist, without becoming overstated. The giclée technique is finished by hand, giving the acrylic paint a texture and depth that a plain print never achieves.
