Measure the actual width of your television and the position of its feet. The size in inches refers to the screen diagonal. Compare the internal compartment dimensions with your soundbar, games console or receiver. Allow room for plugs and the ventilation clearance specified by the device manufacturer. Check the viewing height from your normal seat.

Check the screen height from your usual seat. For a freestanding television, consider both the unit height and the TV stand. Wall mounting lets you choose the screen height independently.
Will my soundbar or games console fit?
Compare the compartment's internal width, height and depth with the device. Allow room for plugs and the required ventilation. A soundbar also needs unobstructed speakers.
Can a wall-mounted TV unit go on any wall?
That depends on the wall construction, the loaded unit's weight and the fixings. Follow the model's installation instructions and have the wall assessed if you are unsure.
