Description
The light from the Iseo XS does not shine straight out, it slides along the wall. The round steel discs of Ø 29, 17, 13 and 10 cm sit just slightly offset from one another, so the light from one disc casts a shadow edge onto the next. The result is a layered pattern of light that stays close to the wall, more a drawing in light than a straightforward light source.
With a diameter of 35 cm and a weight of 2 kg, this is the smallest circular version in the Iseo series. That compact size makes it useful in spots where a large wall light would feel too dominant: beside a bed, in a hallway or along a corridor wall. Repeat the Iseo XS two or three times in a row and you get a calm, recognisable rhythm without crowding the wall.
Ztahl makes this light by hand in Uden, with one light point per fitting.
