There are tables, and there are sculptures. This suar wood tree trunk table belongs to the second category.
With a length of 365 cm and an organically undulating width between 83 and 125 cm, this piece is more than
a piece of furniture. It is a direct imprint of nature, captured in solid suar wood.
What truly sets this example apart is the continuous construction. The tabletop
forms one uninterrupted whole with the leg. No joints, no glue seams, no structural
compromises. The wood flows from top to bottom, exactly as the tree once grew. The leg
is built up from the natural root structure of the tree, rough, twisting and
entirely self-formed through decades of growth. The result is a table you never
view the same way twice.
Suar wood: material with character
Suar wood comes from the Samanea saman, also known as the rain tree or suar. It is
renowned for its exceptional markings. Undulating grains in tones of warm honey,
deep caramel and dark wengé alternate across the entire top. The wood is hard-wearing,
durable and has a naturally even structure that invites you to touch it. This table is
naturally finished so that the original colour and texture come fully into their own.
A piece that defines any space
At 365 cm this tabletop offers room for ten to twelve people to sit comfortably at the table.
The variable width follows the natural contours of the trunk and gives the top its unique
organic silhouette. Combine it with clean-lined chairs in a minimalist interior or with
linen upholstery in a warm earthy setting. This piece adapts to the space, not the other way around.

Frequently asked questions
Do you carry the furniture into the room?
Yes, where that is possible. With enough space, a wide enough passage and a lift if there is one, our own drivers put the piece down exactly where you want it. If that cannot be done, we deliver to the front door. Not sure it will fit through your hallway or stairwell? Tell us before the delivery date and we will look at it with you.
Is this piece assembled for me?
What you order in the webshop is delivered but not assembled. Buy the same piece in our store in Enschede and our drivers do place and assemble it on site, and take the packaging away with them.
What does delivery cost?
Within 35 kilometres of Enschede we deliver free of charge. Beyond that, anywhere in the Netherlands you pay 50 euro per order rather than per item, so a sofa and a dining table together cost the same as one of them. Belgium is 100 euro. From 1,000 euro we deliver free within the Netherlands; solid tree trunk tables are excluded from both arrangements because they are too heavy. For Starfurn, Livingfurn and Brix delivery is already free from 250 euro, and for Richmond Interiors from 150 euro.
When will my order be delivered?
The delivery time for this piece is shown with the product on this page. Once it is in, we get in touch to agree a delivery slot together, based on where you live and our delivery route. You are not simply assigned a day you had no say in.
Can I collect the order myself?
Yes. You can collect your order at our store at Hogelandsingel 49 in Enschede. We contact you first, as soon as it is ready for you.
